The operator's check, on the Fedora desktop with the real iPhone, after the install script and bridge:
Record iOS version, iTunes build, Fedora Wine version and usbmuxd version in KNOWLEDGE.md as VERIFIED, with the run as the control. Also record, from the usbmuxd log (
usbmuxd -v), whether iTunes asked forReadBUID/ReadPairRecord/SavePairRecordthrough the mux, or whether pairing records appeared in the prefix'sC:\ProgramData\Apple\Lockdown. That is the open question from #7. A failed step goes in as a bug with its log.Real run: iPhone on the desktop syncs and backs up through iTunes on the boxto Real run on the Fedora desktop: install, play own MP3s, pair, sync and back up the iPhoneRan 2026-10-28 on the desktop. (The first run failed in the AMDS MSI, which is #11, now fixed.) The operator added.m4afiles by Add File and by drag; they import and play.-vcapture, standing in forusbmuxd -v, has 23ReadBUID+ 23ReadPairRecord, and noSavePairRecord. The prefix'sC:\ProgramData\Apple\Lockdownstayed empty, and/var/lib/lockdown/<UDID>.plistkept its mtime. iTunes uses the pairing Linux already has.Side findings:
Stays open: steps 3 (cable) and 4 are unverified. Whether to keep them in scope, or run them on a spare device, is the operator's call.
