Apple's download link now gives iTunes 12.10.11.2 (pinned: 12.13.11.1).

  • URL: https://secure-appldnld.apple.com/itunes12/001-80053-20210422-E8A3B28C-A3B2-11EB-BE07-CE1B67FC6302/iTunes64Setup.exe
  • sha1: e2aa6622cc3081b4580342550483fbab26cf2530

Headless checks on this commit's install.sh, bumped, in fedora:44 (wine-11.20-1.fc44.x86_64):

  • install.sh exits 0
  • iTunes.exe installed
  • MobileDevice.dll installed
  • Apple Mobile Device service disabled (Start=4)
  • iTunes still running 90 s after start
  • nothing listening on 127.0.0.1:27015

Not checked here: the iPhone (device appears, sync, backup). That is a manual run, as in #9.

Opened by .woodpecker/itunes-update.yml, pipeline https://ci.lewd.wtf/repos/14/pipeline/2.

This came from #13's test run: a manual pipeline forced LATEST_URL to the old 12.10.11.2 installer to exercise the job. It isn't a real Apple release.

The failure is real for that build. Reproduced on the desktop: 12.10.11.2's silent install leaves iPodService.exe and iTunesHelper.exe running in the prefix, so install.sh's wineserver -w after the iTunes step never returns, and the pipeline sat at its 25-minute limit (KNOWLEDGE.md → Update check in CI, f774a29). 12.13.11.1 doesn't start those. 12.10 is only the fallback build and out of scope, so this closes as the expected test outcome.
